Walmart Recognizes Truck Drivers Who Are Committed to Safety
Wal-mart Stores seeks to hire safe drivers for its Walmart truck driving jobs. Like any company, Wal-mart wants to hire drivers who are committed to safety. Each year, Walmart recognizes its drivers in several different categories: Express Carrier of the Year, Produce Carrier of the Year, Rising Star Carrier of the Year and Innovative Carrier of the Year. The criteria used to select the winners were based on revenue and growth, ease of doing business, communication, flexibility, customer service and follow up on correcting errors. This encourages all truck drivers to give their best, knowing that their employer will show appreciation for their hard work.
In order to qualify for Walmart truck driving jobs, there are certain things that Walmart expects from prospective applicants. Drivers cannot have DUIs or related incidents in the past five years; the driver should have no felonies in the past five years; there should no record of drug or violent felonies at all; candidates must not have more than three moving violations in the last three years; and, no more than two accidents that have occurred in the last two years. These expectations are realistic given the fact that the truck driver is entrusted with cargo and obeying the traffic laws of the road.
