Improve Your Golf Swing And Driving Distance With Golf Stretches

The golf swing is arguably one of the most difficult athletic actions to perform. The golf swing requires you to draw the golf club through a long range of motion with proper technique and exact timing.

Any error in swing plane, timing, or sequence will cause your golf swing to suffer, and suffer it will. Unfortunately, the result of your golf swing suffering will be errant shots, poor golf scores, and frustration on the golf course.

Often the amateur is at a lost for why their golf swing results in errant shots. Countless hours are spent at the range in an effort to improve their golf swing. Hundreds or even thousands of dollars are spent on lessons each year, and not to mention the purchasing of new equipment.

It all adds up to a lot of time and money spent on improving the golf swing. Unfortunately, for many amateur golfers their handicaps and score never improve. Leading to the question “why is my golf game not improving?”

If this is you and this question lingers in your mind. The answer to your question could easily be staring right back at you in the mirror. The failure of improvement may have absolutely nothing to do with the driver you are swinging, the teaching pro helping you with your swing, or even your practice routine. It could all do with you! Yes you, the physical body swinging the golf club.

Keep in mind the golf club does not perform the mechanics of the golf swing. Nor do the mechanics of the golf swing execute themselves without you. It is you and your body executing the mechanics of the golf swing. The point to make is your body directly affects the mechanics of the golf swing.

Additionally, the golf swing requires your body to encompass certain physical qualities to execute the mechanics of the golf swing correctly. These physical qualities are certain levels of flexibility, muscular strength, balance, and power. If you are lacking the minimal amounts of flexibility, balance, strength, and power to execute the golf swing correctly. Compensations will occur even before you swing the golf club.

For example, let’s look at your flexibility. The golf swing requires you to draw the golf club through a large range of motion. The backswing requires a full shoulder turn to set the club in the correct slot for the downswing, and the finish position is almost a mirror image of the backswing.

In order to perform these parts of the golf swing correctly, the muscles of your body must be flexible. An inflexible body in which muscles are “tight” creates restrictions in movement. Restrictions in movement in relation to the golf swing will undoubtedly result in limitations pertaining to golf swing. The limitation will impede you from creating a full shoulder turn and balanced finish position. This causes compensations in the mechanics of the golf swing.

The entire body needs to be flexible for the golf swing. Certain muscles more than others are involved in the golf swing, and if these muscles are “tight” they will directly affect your golf swing. One such set of muscles is your hamstrings.

The hamstrings (back side of your upper leg) are often “tight” and cause problems to many people, not just golfers. However, they have a profound effect on the golf swing and it is not a good effect. Hamstrings that are “tight” are in a shortened position. The shortened position of the hamstrings has a direct effect on the position of your hips. Your hips will be “tucked”, directly affecting your posture. This in itself can hamper the ability to place oneself in the correct position at address within the golf swing, not to mention maintaining a proper spine angle during the swing.

Additionally, “tight” hamstrings place an undo amount of stress on the lower back. Large amounts of stress on the lower back cause fatigue, soreness, and increase the possibility of injury. If you are a golfer that has ever experienced lower back pain you know the effect it has on your ability to swing the golf club correctly.

A combination of a postural change and undo amounts of stress on the lower back, just begin to scratch the surface of the effect inflexible muscles can have on the golf swing. “Tight” muscles change the kinematics of the body. As a result, the biomechanics of the golf swing must be altered. These alterations usually lead to compensations in the mechanics of the golf swing resulting in errant shot patterns on the golf course.

And no matter what you do in terms of practice or instruction these alterations will not go away until you address them. Just as you address swing faults, you must address flexibility faults. Flexibility faults can be addressed through golf stretches.

Golf stretches enhance the flexibility of your body in relation to the golf swing. Golf stretches often times return muscles that are “tight” such as the hamstrings to their proper length. This results in the ability of your body to perform the biomechanics of the golf swing correctly. If you are one of many golfers who are not finding their golf swing improving through practice and instruction. Take a moment and look at the body swinging the golf club. This very well may be the root of your golf swing problems. Fix your flexibility faults through golf stretches and find yourself on the road to lower golf scores and more enjoyment in the game of golf.

Is Your Website “Sticky”?

While it’s great to get a multiple visitors one time on your site, it’s even better to get returning visitors mulitple times. This means that your site really has an interest to them enough that they’ve bookmarked it. Bookmarkers over time will lead to sales, and once you’ve sold to someone it’s always easier to get them to buy from you a second time than getting them to buy the first!

So is your site “sticky” enough to keep them coming back?

Here are a few good ways to make your website “sticky” so that you get repeat visitors that are interested in your site:

1. Have frequently updated, fresh content. People aren’t going to come back if your site stays the same all the time. If they’ve already got all the information they need from your site, why should they return? Make sure that the information is always new, fresh, and changing so that they have an incentive to return. Perhaps even give away prizes or rewards to make them return. Free gifts are a great motivator!

2. Your content must be valuable. Don’t talk “small talk” and fill your site up with gimmicks, bells and whistles, and other page fillers. Make the content on your site actually useful to someone. Use relevant articles to your topic, maybe have free tools or calculators or something that are relevant to your product, or even just keep the people up to date about what’s happening with your product. Refrain from using flashy animated objects, java applets, and midi files. These are only annoying to the surfer and it will discourage them from coming back.

3. Make your site easy to navigate. Especially if your site has got lots of competition on your product or service, maybe they’ll choose your site over your competitor’s site just by the sheer fact alone that they can get around your site easier! People want to get the information they need quickly and easily. Don’t make it a challenge for them or they’ll only become frustrated and click off of your site.

Using these easy and common sensical tips you can make your website “sticky” and watch the traffic increase!

Golf Tips Should Always Include Fitness

When you think of golf tips, do you usually think about how to improve your swing, or how to sink your putts? Those, of course, are good tips, but you also need fitness tips behind all of those technique tips. Without proper fitness, technique tips will fall short.

Take your swing, for example. You can meet with a golf pro on many occasions and he can tell you all there is to know about how to swing the club effectively. If you haven’t learned the fitness needs behind your swing, though, you will still not be performing to your true potential.

Your swing depends on having a fit back. It is an essential part of your swing, and if you haven’t conditioned and exercised your back through exercises and complimentary stretches, it is not going to allow you to swing to the best of your ability. Good back strength adds power to your swing, adds coordination and assists balance.

Your swing also relies on transferring weight correctly, wrist and ankle strength, shoulder and arm strength, posture… the list goes on and on, and all of these things are effected positively by a fitness program. Without good fitness and an understanding of how your body works, your game falls short.

Fitness plays a role in putting as well, since your form will help you sink the putt. Without good form, which is dependent upon good conditioning, you will have a difficult time directing the ball to the cup. Also, without good fitness, your mental focus will not be as sharp.

From an overall perspective, stamina is important to the game of golf. You put in a lot of walking when you play a round of golf, even if you ride a cart, and if you’re tired by the last few holes your performance will suffer. A good fitness routine will allow you to play an entire round of golf without feeing fatigued.

Fitness is important to every aspect of your game of golf. Not only will you be a better player who feels healthier, but your attitude and energy will also improve. A fit golfer is at the top of their game!

Design vs Content: Who is KING?

Well it is not Elvis, that’s for sure.

I am a firm advocate of good design but most of the time people tend to interpret design as amazing graphics and astounding visuals they tend to forget that design is the culmination of every aspect of good and effective presentation into one.

We all know that design and content have equal importance in regards to websites but if you must choose which one is immediately important, which will you choose, design or content? If you?re going to prepare an entire web marketing strategy on which of these two shall you focus on more? Why? Please defend your answer?

During my early days (around 1997), when I was still studying/learning to develop webpages, websites with astonishing visuals never fails to impress me and I?d always ask myself this, ?Man, how did they do that great graphic?? I will spend countless hours surfing the net collecting every graphically and visually orgasmic websites I could fine and I?ll try to imitate and recreate them with photoshop (Photoshop 4) and if I can?t recreate them I?ll scour the web for tutorials on how to make those visuals. Man, if I were paying for my internet connection I would be dead broke by now. It was a good thing that my internet access was free. Anyway, back to the discussion. Then it hit me, after saving a screenshot of those awesome website, saving all those wonderful wallpapers and all those banners and images, in my mind a very simple question was formed, ?When was the last time I visited these websites again?? the answer was simple, once or never. After, analyzing my thoughts I finally noticed that most of these sites offers nothing but visuals. I had spent countless hours browsing these websites and I was only looking at their visuals, why, because that was all they have. That was the only thing they can offer, visuals. I finally realized that the websites I regularly visit like Yahoo, Web Monkey, Web Developer Virtual Library, and now google doesn?t have all these WOW factor thing, they don?t have the bells and whistles of those extraordinary websites. All they have and all they offer was information, tons and tons of information. They never bothered to develop their look and their feel, what they developed was their content, their information database. Millions of people or millions of potential clients, buyers and opportunities go to these websites not to look at their remarkable visuals or presentations but to acquire what everybody need information and people pay a lot of money for information. A father will pay millions of dollars just to get some information about his long lost child but this same father would not pay anything more than 10,000 or even 50,000 USD just to look at a design, he won?t even pay at all.

Content development is in a much higher level than Design Conceptualization, Creation and Development. Yes, design will capture your visitor?s immediate attention. All the wows, oohhhsss and overwhelming appreciation of the design will follow it but after that what? I for once is very irritated of websites which will make you wait 1 minute for you to download their 3 minute intro just to find out later that the information you are looking for is not there. It does not only irritates me, it also makes me mad as hell because I?ve wasted 5 minutes of my time for nothing and I believe that almost all internet users especially those on dial-up have the same sentiments as mine.

Content makes the big bucks. Here is another analogy. It is like a commercial ad on TV, they?ll hype a product with visuals, graphics, amazing videos, cool sounds and they?ll even get your favorite star to endorse it but in reality it is just as good as the next product. If you ever seen that TV ad for a brand of powdered laundry soap where the speaker just places the cloth stained with grease on a basin of water and just poured some of their product and left it, and after an hour she?ll be back and it is already clean without any effort from you. I tried it, using the same product but it didn?t work. I even left it longer. It didn?t remove the grease from my shirt but it did remove the color and the grease is still there. I?m not saying that the product doesn?t really work, what I?m saying is, it is all hype just like a website with all the hype. If you have a website that has all these bells and whistles, have you ever wondered how many potential paying clients have pressed the back button or have typed in a different URL just because they can?t wait to load your website, just stop for a while and think of the dollars that you easily could have raked in only if your site loaded just a nanosecond sooner.

Websurfers are an impatient breed. Very few will actually wait until your elaborate design loads. Only those that are interested in your design will wait and look at it and who are they? They are not the paying public, they are not the CEO?s, they are not the business people and they are not the people who have the dough to pay for your services, skills and talents. They are not the people whom you are trying to sell your service to. Then who are they? They are designers, artist and creative people who are just there to steal, copy and plagiarize your hard work.

Content is KING. In fact, it is a GOD. A website with good and well thought out content can and will survive longer than an extravagantly designed one. A lavishly designed website will bring in immediate traffic but they are not quality traffic. They could even be just one time visitors but content, fresh and new (am iterating), will drive not just new visitors but will bring in more visitors which could become potential users of your site and once they become users and get hooked on your site then the big bucks will not be very far behind them (hopefully).

What Is FTP And How It Works?

FTP is a method to manage files over the Internet or a
network
: meet the File Transfer
Protocol!

People are generally using the FTP for transfering the files
uploaded on their web hosting server. We already talking about
files… trasfer, and most important… protocols.

A protocol is a method which informs your computer about the
connection to a server or client (in a nut shell, tells the
browser how to get the file, how to read the informations about
it, etc).

The FTP is a common process used in file trasfers from
one computer to another: one computer is the server and the
other one is being called – the client (because it connects to
the server).

A server is uploading when sending files, and the client is
downloading them. These are commonly used terms and I believe
you have heard about them before.

To access a FTP server you need an internet or network
connection, a FTP address, a username and a password.

The FTP address of the server is the main thing you must know
before accessing a server. Here is an example: a friend of mine
put some files on his computer and gave me the adress which
looks like this: target="_blank" rel="nofollow">ftp.myfriendsdomain.com

To access this address, i can use my browser (e.g. Firefox,
Internet Explorer, etc), or a FTP Client (a software for
connecting to FTP servers).

It’s possible the server to be password protected, or I will
connect anonymously using my email address as a password.

Connecting anonymously?

That’s right! If the server is granting acess to everybody, you
will connect anonymously – using anonymous word as username and
your email address as password. But this happens only when you
are allowed to connect anonymously.

In many cases privacy is king. For this reason, the anonymous
connection mode is disabled. You will need a username and
password to establish a connection to that server. The method is
used for protecting different areas on the server.

Clients and browsers?

There is a big difference from connecting to a FTP server using
a browser or a client. In most cases the browser will allow to
connect and download files from a server.

On the other hand, if you are using a FTP client you can:
download, upload, delete files, etc.

FTP vs. HTTP

Accessing a server using the HTTP (Hyper Text Trasfer
Protocol)
is commonly used for websites. If you will access
www.cnn.com
with your browser, you got yourself a quick HTTP connection.

Let me show you two major differences between FTP and HTTP:

1) When connecting to a FTP server you are using a FILE server
(that means you can’t see anything but files there), but if you
connect to a HTTP server you access a WEB server, which means
you can load web pages into a browser.

2) Using a FTP connection you can download and upload files to
the server, but when you use the HTTP connection you can only
download content from the Internet for viewing, is a “read only”
method.

Another thing you can do with the FTP method is to change mode
of the files. Why? Because you might use certain files that need
different permissions.

For example I have a small web application which stores your
name and email address inside a file on the server. If that file
is write protected, I can’t store any information. I need to
change it’s writing permission. This step is also called
chmod-ing a file.

What is CHMOD?

The chmod command is used to change permissions of a file
using the File Trasfer Protocol.

After you’ve uploaded something on a server you might want to
set up the file permissions. For example: the owner can change
the file’s content, but any visitor comming here can only read
it.

This is done using 3 simple commands: write, read, execute.

Every command can be assigned (in the same time or dispersed)
for owner, groups and anyone else.

Sometimes the chmod commands are hard to use and understand, but
now it’s easier, thanks to the three digit numbers!

Here are the most used commands for chmod-ing a file:

CHMOD 644 The file can be read by: owner, groups and
everyone else, but can’t be changed, or executed but other
people excepting the owner.

CHMOD 700 The file can be read, written and excuted by
the owner (user). The groups and everyone else can’t read, write
or execute it.

CHMOD 755 The owner, the group and everyone else can read
and execute the file, but only the owner can write it. (this is
a very common option for chmoding a file because allows the
execution of a file – it’s valuable for web applications).

CHMOD 777 Full access to everyone for reading, executing
or writing the data.

Fact: FTP is used mostly for uploading files to a web
hosting server! Webmasters are using this procedure to put
websites online for their visitors.

use):

Golf! How To Power That Drive Away

Anyone who tells you, that he or she would not like to hit the golf ball further is either a liar, or Tiger Woods.

Drive for show and putt for dough maybe sound advice, but if you ask the average weekend golfer whether they would like to putt like Brad Faxon, or regularly belt the ball like Tiger, most would opt for Tiger’s power off the tee.

It is this fascination with power in golf that prompt’s me to write this article, and provide a golf tip.

A couple of facts first, that were discovered two or three years ago, by the teaching profession in the USA. These were, that by using the golf swing, test robotic arm generating a clubhead speed of 100 mph, the golf ball, on average, would go around 265 yards.

However, if the clubface is opened by 2 degrees only, then the distance reached was only 225 yards, with the same clubhead speed. Again by opening up the face to 4 degrees, the distance covered was only 185 yards.

This shows that distance is not just about power, and clubhead speed, but also hitting the ball squarely with a nice golf swing. This may sound like common sense, however many golfers are trying to hit the ball with the incorrect golf swing.

So, what is the secret of achieving maximum power? My golf tip is this:-

Speed, can be increased, by setting the wrists into a cocked position early, and on the downswing keeping the wrists cocked for as late as possible, and then swishing through the ball. This is similar to flicking your wrists, when using a badminton, squash, or tennis racket.

Power, comes from having as full and flexible a body turn as possible, plus creating a wide arc. The powerful muscles of the legs will also help.

To generate maximum power, it is essential that the start of the downswing be calm and unhurried. This enables the golfer to build up speed, so that the golf club is still accelerating when it reaches the ball. Finally, ensure that the arms are fully extended through to a high finish.

A key point to note is that the hands control the position of the clubface, keeping it square at impact.

Golfers, who are inclined to hit at the ball with their hands rather than a nice even tempo golf swing through the ball, find that they lose a lot of power, and hence distance.

Slow, smooth tempo wins every time.

Golf Swing Weight Training A New Approach

Golf swing weight training is as specific as you can get in regards to golf training to improve power, distance and iron yardages with every club. Wouldn’t you love to add 10 yards to every iron? Instead of a 150 6 iron, you’re hitting a consistent 7 iron the same distance.

This alone will greatly improve your “greens in regulation” and getting more shots closer to the pin. The end result is a much lower score.

Golf swing weight training shouldn’t be new to you. You’ve heard all the pros train for their game. So why shouldn’t you? Here’s one secret that can add a quick 20 yards to your driver in less than a week or so.

Swing a weighted club!

This is not revelating stuff, but I’m here to tell you it’s one of the quickest and most effective ways to increase your distances with all clubs.

The benefit is developing the exact golf swing muscles from a strength and flexibility standpoint within your golf swing. You’ll improve your backswing and follow through range of motion, as well as your power through the hitting zone.

In all my dvds, books and websites I preach the importance of a balanced routine of both golf stretching and strengthening exercises for all your golfing muscles. This is critical for your long term success.

I am an advocate of this approach, and strongly suggest you be too. There are many muscles swing the weighted club don’t hit that can be affecting your game. Like the hamstrings, lower back and even abs.

But how about a little shortcut along the way?

Golf swing weight training is something I’ve personally been doing for over 10 years and I’m fortunate enough to say I can consistently drive the ball over 300 yards. I don’t say that to brag, but to say this type of training and approach is effective and works!

Because I’m not a big guy like all those long drive competitors, golfers are surprised when they see me hit a drive. They all seem to ask how can I do that? Immediately I go into my golf trainer mode and precede to tell them the importance golf swing weight training and working on the “machine” to hit longer drives.

Within a couple of holes they are hitting me with a ton of questions they want answered. By the time I’m done, I wished I hadn’t told them what I do for a living.

No I’m just kidding.

By doing a golf swing weight training program that incorporates strength, flexibility and weighted clubs you will see the quickest results that last long term.

Your golfing buddies might think your crazy, but you’ll get the last laugh.

The winning combination is swing technique and golf swing weight training!

Broadband Satellite Antenna Pizza Box Size

Thanks to the transfer technologies and governments spending on military needs, soon the public will have Broadband Satellite antennas no larger than the dimensions of a Pizza Box. Lightening fast Internet from the heavens. The new record for the World’s smallest broadband satellite antenna was launched in Singapore this week. Absolutely incredible new technology, which seems to be very similar to something that DARPA was working on.

Nera Telecommunications debuted the device, which is shaped like a laptop with the lid closed. It is designed to use Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network but could also be integrated into nearly any system. I believe the device might be good for a UAV and mounted on top in a gyro to send back real time video feed via Internet broadband. Currently the unit has enough speed to use VoIP as well. The detachable antenna allows the hand held 15 cm by 20 cm device to be used quite easily as well. Anywhere, anytime broadband communication on the go; perfect for recon, Osama Bin Laden or the US Military, which will find him soon?

Now here is the good part. You can have this high tech gizmo for only $2500.00 and it will be shipped to you immediately. This is only one of the new devices in broadband satellite coming on line soon. Another cool device, which should be able to be purchased by the public is a broadband antenna capable of constant communication anywhere while driving your SUV; expect this to be yours for $5000 in 2008 or so. Keep thinking broadband.

How I Profit Online While I Sleep

Money can be made with the right product, a little imagination and determination. This same strategy can also be used by anyone who wants to make money while doing business on the web.

For people who have an existing website, this will already be quite easy. All the person has to do is maintain and update it from time to time or hire help like have an administrator do the work. One can put an ad in the website so people are informed of the opening. To get this news also to more people, the person can also put an in jobsites and email to friends who can help refer someone who is up to the task.

The other is making a computer program that uses the power of marketing and the web. This will allow the person to have an automated business that uses a variety of mediums for trainings and seminars, teleconferencing, emails and web casting that keeps track of everything.

For those who have not done a website, one should first think of the concept or what the site to be made is all about. Does the person want to make money by auctioning off the items of others, will the person distribute a product via the web or even create a site where people have to pay to become a member. There are many possibilities and when that has been worked out, the individual can already think of a domain name.

A lot of sites are created everyday so one should think of several catchy names in the event that another user is already using that domain name. When that has been done, one should think of keywords that people often use in searching for a website and have it posted in the various search engines to make it visible to the people.

Making more money means reaching more people. So, it is best to advertise. One good place to put up an ad is in email sites. When these came out a few years back, the designers did not expect it to generate millions of users and is still growing today. When members of these sites send messages to non members, these people have the option to join and sign up for free which also helps let people know the existence of ones website.

There are also other websites available but one has to pay monthly fee. If the price is reasonable to the person, one can put up pop-up ads or Meta tags which a user can click on to be diverted to ones website.

Another way of getting more traffic and money is doing it through Online forums. By answering the question posted by people and linking ones site to it, people will appreciate the help given and will soon be buying products and also referring the website to other people.

The best place to start selling a product when it is just the first of its kind in the market. For this to work a little research must be done to see its potential then one can pursue it if everything looks good.

One should be aware that the internet just like other industries experience trends. The things that are popular or may work today could change in the future. This is very similar to computer software that changes every 3 to 5 years.

Making ones website user friendly is essential in making people refer it to others. This can be done by letting friends and family try it first then ask feedback about the site. The most important thing to remember before launching it to the various websites is making sure that ones website is fully operational and will not have problems for users when logging on to it. It is very embarrassing for people to experience problems the first time which will surely discourage one from referring it to others and visiting it again.

Before launching the website to potential users, the person has to be sure everything is working. It is very embarrassing for people to experience problems the first time which will surely discourage one from referring it to others and visiting it again.

Web Design and Content Management

Web design or Web development has become immensely popular over the last few years. In these short few years, many new code standards, technology and design concepts have come to the fore. There has also been an immense amount of knowledge distribution and with it the demand for more functional and independent web design packages and tools.

The knowledge distribution has also led to shift in demand to the content management systems which facilitate content updates. These updates have become immensely necessary to keep the consumer’s interest for visiting the web site again and again and also to keep the consumer abreast with latest happenings regarding the company and its products and services.

CMS or Content Management Systems are becoming more and more popular with web design organizations. They have come to realize that CMS is the future of web site design and may be left behind in the industry if they do not begin offering CMS services.

CMS does not in any way spell doom to web designers. CMS certainly saves the company’s time it spends on web design and allows tem to put more efforts into marketing. CMS gives the company the freedom it needs by providing them with an ability to update the site when needed, not when convenient. CMS also saves the company’s costs by not having to run to the web designer every time an update is needed.

Any typical CMS consists of the following features – Provides an interface to Add/remove/edit pages. – Provides easy interface to update content of each page. – Capability to add or remove images where needed. – Interface to update contact information. – Display updated listings (ex: Mortgage and interest rates). – Facilitates addition of news on the industry everyday.

Inference

A web design organization should seriously consider offering CMS to their clients to prepare for the future. It is still at a nascent stage, so if a web design and development organization is considering developing a customised CMS and marketing it, they can still see success in the near future.
